What Salvation Means

The word salvation comes from the Greek word soteria, meaning the full package of God's deliverance — forgiveness of sin, new life, protection, and eternal glory.

When you receive Jesus:

You are saved instantly — forgiven and made new. (Ephesians 2:8)

You begin working out your salvation — learning to live in victory daily. (Philippians 2:12)

You will be saved completely on the day of redemption when Jesus returns. (Ephesians 4:30)
